If something is wrong, it helps to say which iPhone you have and what you were doing when it happened. There is no crash reporting in the app, so nothing reaches us unless you send it.

Where is undo?

There is none. A wet stroke mixes with what is already on the paper and cannot be taken back out of it, which is true of the real medium and true of this one. If a mark is not what you wanted, paint water over it to lift some of it, or start a fresh sheet with the bin in the top right corner. If anything on the sheet is not saved yet, it asks first. People are not wrong when they explore.

My mark keeps moving after I lift my finger.

That is the sheet drying. While the paper is wet, pigment travels, blooms outward and pins at the edges. Waiting is part of painting here, and a mark left alone for half a minute is not the same mark you made. Paint on dry paper for a crisp edge, into a wet wash for a soft one.

Nothing happens when I tilt the phone.

The sheet has to be wet for water to run, so tilt while a wash is still fresh. The app also learns the way you normally hold the phone and treats that as level, so the lean is measured from your own resting position rather than from flat.

How do I keep a painting?

You do not have to. Sheets are kept on their own when you leave the app or tap home, the button in the top left corner, which opens everything you have made. From there a sheet can be shared or saved to your photo library. The bin in the top right throws a sheet away instead of keeping it.

Can I get a colour that is not in the palette?

By mixing it on the paper, which is how the colours in a real box of paints work. Swipe the bar at the bottom for the next card of colours, and the brush moves to the same place on that card. Tap the palette button beside home to choose a different palette.

Does it collect anything?

No. There is no networking code in the app at all. See the privacy policy.
